sigur ros : ekki mukk (stream)

sigur ros will return with new album valtari (not to be confused with this) on 5.28.12. the first taste of the eight track album comes in the form of "ekki mukk". as you'd expect, it's quite beautiful.

so it looks like the morning benders have changed their band name to pop etc. i'm not so sure about the name (sounds like a late 90s-era nickelodeon boy band), but it's hard to argue with the band's reasoning. read why (hint: "bender" is not a cool word abroad) and grab a mixtape from the band (which seems to include some leftovers from the upcoming album) over here.

this is a great little ditty that's sure to make it to some sort of vaguely young-adult marketed commercial in the near future. doesn't mean it's not a great song, i just want you to know what you're getting into. recommended if you like of monsters and men, the head and the heart, edward sharpe, etc.
