mountain man (kaleidoscope session)
these ladies are so excellent at what they do. i cannot believe that they haven't hit the scene any louder than they have. rec'd for fans of fleet foxes, joanna newsom, folk, harmonies, the appalachian mountains.

just stumbled on toronto band strider hero. very enjoyable. they sound a bit like someone, although i can't quite place it. french kicks? alberta cross? the walkmen? the smiths? not sure. either way, they are giving away the songs on their self-released ep.
