carly rae jepsen + jimmy fallon + the roots : call me maybe (video)
so, as i hope you all know by now, this is pretty much the pop song to beat for the year. "call me maybe" is to 2012 what beyonce's "countdown" was to 2011. not to mention that the line "before you came into my life i missed you so bad" is probably one of the most sincerely moving lyrical lines of the past decade. but aside from all that, fallon shows once again why the roots are the greatest band in all of late night.
