I heard this song the other night whilst listening to NPR's excellent "All Songs Considered" podcast. It was a year-end wrap-up type show, with the DJs spinning what, at this point, have become all the usual suspects (Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, etc.). But they also played this little gem and it was like a kick to my soul's junk, but in the best possible way. An unadulterated booze-fueled indie-punk anthem with noisy solos, heavy drums and a chorus comprised of indecipherable guttural group shouts, all roundhoused to your face by a group of hairy men's men in just under two minutes...it's a beautiful thing.
