I resisted posting anything remotely Valentine's Day-related, because I think it is a bit of a miserable holiday. The only people that really benefit from it are those in a brand new relationship (three weeks to two months in), as it increases their chances of getting some sort of freaky/intense sexual encounter. For those not in relationships, it is a reminder of how lonely they are. And for those in extended relationships, well you shouldn't need a "special" day to do something special for your significant other. You also shouldn't need a "special" day to get freaknasty in the sack...that should be happening on a regular basis (ladies, take note).

HOWEVER, I did just read a pretty interesting article about the science of kissing. It provides some scientific insight into why men and women kiss. As for the former, the answer is probably what you'd expect: sex.
