Trees Are Migrating North

National Geographic is reporting that some tree species may be heading north at an average of 62 miles a century (yes, like the Ents of LOTR). That's crazy. As with all the dramatic ecological and biological changes as of late, one of the prime suspects is global warming. Among the species heading north are the northern white cedar, American basswood, sugar maple, black ash, bigtooth aspen, and yellow birch.

Well played, Canada. Well played.
