amazon daily deal : the strokes' ANGLES

sometimes i feel bad for the strokes, because they never really stood a chance at living up to the level of hype that surrounded their entry into the public consciousness back in 2001 (they kind of seem like the very first buzzband to ever have existed), and i think they get pooped on quite a bit. on the other hand, i find much of the criticism fair because some of their songs seem objectively crappy, and they put them out anyway. and the band is clearly capable of (seemingly effortlessly) constructing great songs (see just about every song on the band's first two albums). so if critics and common listeners alike can easily identify the best of the bands tracks, surely the band themselves are capable of discerning a winner from a loser.

anywho, the point is that the strokes new album, angles, which has winners and losers, is available for 3.99 at amazon for the rest of the day. grab it here.
