New Kurt Vile: "Hunchback"
I haven't advertised it too much, but I must say that Kurt Vile is fast becoming one of my favorite musicians. Between Constant Hitmaker, God Is Saying This To You, and The Hunchback EP, the man can do no wrong. And from what I've heard of the new material, it looks like I'm in for a real treat. Vile's upcoming Matador debut, Childish Prodigy, opens with this dark and intense number. And, in keeping with the rest of his output, the song is excellent. The album is in stores on October 6, and the man is in Chicago on October 13 (I already got my ticket).
